Commūne Dance Company was founded in the fall of 2022 out of a desire to create an artistic home for trained dancers in Redding, California—a place where artistry, faith, and community could flourish. Inspired by the meaning of the verb "commune"—to share emotions and feelings without words—our company focuses on cultivating presence and connection through contemporary dance.

Since its genesis, Commūne has grown into a thriving collective of artists who are passionate about creating performances that inspire, challenge, and move audiences. With a commitment to both excellence and authenticity, we seek to invest in the local arts scene while also expanding our reach beyond Redding, bringing meaningful work to diverse communities.
